James Henderson

James Arthur Henderson Jr, age 54, was born October 31, 1959 in Dayton, Ohio to James Sr and Beulah Henderson. James departed this life to be with the lord, Thursday October 31, 2013 at Miami Valley Hospital.

James was a graduate of Meadowdale High School, class of 1978. He then took some training at Job Corp of Dayton, Ohio. James was a former employee at St. Elizabeth Medical Center as a Housekeeper for many years; he also was an assistant coach for Dayton little league baseball team for four years. James was a member of Unity Missionary Baptist church for a number of years. He spent the last five years at Arbors of Dayton nursing home. James enjoyed Fishing and watching sports with his family.

James was a devoted son, brother, father, husband, uncle, and friend. James is proceeded in death by his parents, James Sr and Beulah Henderson, one sister, Dedre D. Henderson, one brother, Robert L. Henderson , grand-parents, Emmit Ford and Rosa L. Johnson and Thomas & Carrie Henderson; seven uncle and two aunts. Father-in-law and Mother-in-law George & Jean Jacksons and three God-sisters.

James leaves to cherish his memory one son, Thomas E. Henderson; Wife, Shelia Henderson; niece, Mariah N. Henderson; two nephews, Robert T.J. Henderson and James M. Williams; one uncle, Glen Johnson; three aunts, Martha Henderson, Erlexia Johnson, and Sarah Boykins; two sister-in-laws, Vicki (Ledon) Maddox and Talitha Henderson. Devoted God Mother Margie Allen and a Host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 - 10:30 AM, Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton, Ohio where funeral services will begin at 10:30 am, Wednesday, with Pastor Timothy Newkirk, officiating.
