James Lee Helton

James Lee Helton, age 73, of Riverside, passed away February 1, 2022. He was born March 23, 1948 in Middletown, Ohio. Jim was preceded in death by his father, Dorsey Helton; mother, Goldie Baker; wife, Judy Lamb; and brother, Bobby Helton.

Jim is survived by his sons: Michael Helton (Cassandra) and Brian Helton; 6 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; brother, Larry Helton (Genny); and longtime companion, Judy Griffin.

Jim was a member of the North Dayton Angler's Club and Son of Amvets. He was a former member of Poor Boys Bass Club. Jim was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Visitation will be held from 12-1 pm on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at Way of the Cross Church, 612 Beatrice Drive, Riverside, where the funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm. Burial to follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road.
