James Ralph Hayman, age 92, passed away at the Hospice of Dayton with his wife by his side on Sunday, October 20, 2019. He was born in Meigs County, Ohio on January 18, 1927. Jim graduated from Fairview High School in Dayton and graduated from Ohio State University with a degree in Business Administration and Personnel. Jim served in the Navy during World War II. After the war, he began his 34 year career with the Department of Defense at DESC in Dayton.
Jim was active with the Blue Lodge and Scottish Rite for 62 years. He was a member of American Legion Post #598 for over 20 years.
Jim is survived by his wife of 69 years, Geneva (Collins) Hayman. He was preceded in death by his loving son, James Parker Hayman.
Father and son will both be memorialized at a service at Central Presbyterian Church, 4699 Lamme Road, Moraine, OH 45439 on Saturday, October 26, 2019. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am with a service to follow at 12:00 noon.
In lieu of flowers, gifts can be made to the Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, OH 45420 and/or to Central Presbyterian Church.
Newcomer Centerville Chapel has be entrusted with serving the family.
