James C. Hart, age 94 of Beavercreek, OH, passed away Tuesday, July 27, 2021, surrounded by the love of his family. He was born June 18, 1927 in Columbus, OH to the late Leo and Julia (Geyer) Hart.
Left to cherish Jim's memory are his wife of 42 years, Sandra (Keckhut) Hart; daughter, Meghan (Todd) Wertalik; son, David (Robin) Hart; step-sons: Ken (Janet) Koors, Dan (Julie) Koors, and Ryan (Carrie) Koors; grandchildren: Nina, Margot, Denise, Alex, Abby, Emily, Brady, Ella, Noah, Christopher, Jonathan, Stephen, other relatives, and many friends.
Jim was a very loving man who never knew a stranger, whether they liked it or not. He loved the Lord, and was very passionate about his faith. He was an ordained Episcopal priest until 1983, when he began his own church: My Father's House. Jim eventually joined St. Brigid Catholic Church, of which he was a member until the end of his life. He ministered to many people over the years, and they looked to him for guidance. Jim was a veteran of the United States Army, who proudly served his country during WWII. Jim adored his wife, and especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed the arts, classical and jazz music, and was an avid fan of the Cincinnati Reds and the Bengals. Most of all, Jim enjoyed spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his sisters: Martha and Mary.
A Mass will be held on Friday, August 6th at 11:00 am at Saint Brigid Catholic Church, 312 Fairgrounds Road, Xenia, Ohio 45385
