James Lowell Hamilton, age 76 of Beavercreek, passed away Wednesday, August 29, 2018 peacefully at his residence with his family. He was born July 18, 1942 in Salt Lick, Kentucky the son of Roscoe and Mary Hamilton.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Validene Jones Hamilton, parents, and brother, Glen Hamilton.
James owned Hamilton Painting Company and was a painting contractor for over 50 years.
James was a member of Patterson Park Church, Beavercreek Twp. Park Board, Park Commissioner and the National Rifle Association. He was an avid donor to the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews. Jim was the creator of Angels Pass, Girl Scout Memorial of Community Park. He was a gun collector who enjoyed, fishing and wildlife. He also enjoyed working at home on his farm, his tractor and taking care of his family.
James is survived by his daughters, Jennifer (Matthew) Engle, Debra L Murray, Jacquelyn (Bradley) Kayata; brother, Danny (Ann) Hamilton; sister-In-laws, Sue Hamilton and Darlene O'Reilly; grandchildren, Melanie (Nathan) Smith, Marcie Murray, Abigail Kayata, Adelyn Validene Kayata, James Hamilton Engle; great-Grandchild, Weston Smith; He is also survived by numerous family and friends.
Funeral Service will be held on September 5, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Beavercreek Chapel 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432. Visitation will be September 5, 2018 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. Interment David's Cemetery.
