James Hamilton

James A. Hamilton, of Toledo, Ohio passed away October 9, 2010 at his residence with his family by his side. He was born in Toledo to late Leroy and Anne Hamilton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Thomas Smith. James is survived by his wife, Louise; children: Daryl Hamilton, Elliott Hamilton, Lynn Hamilton and Jo Ann Hamilton; sisters: Margaret Reese and Karolyn Smith; sister-in-law, Mildred Chavous; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He attended University of Toledo and graduated from The Ohio State University. James was a veteran of the U.S. Army and managed the Social Security Administration, West Third Branch, for many years.

A memorial service will be held at 12:30 pm on Saturday, October 23, 2010 at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Road, where friends may visit from 12 noon until time of service.
