James Norman Hall

James Norman Hall, "Jim," age 77 of Centerville, peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at his home under hospice care. He was born April 22, 1946 in Laporte, Indiana, the son of the late Oscar Hall and Virginia Yates.

Jim is a veteran of the United States Navy. He was a Navy Fireman (FN) responsible for completing engineering watches, operating electrical equipment and completing repairs. Upon his honorable discharge, he then became a barber at Wright-Patterson AFB. Jim will be remembered for being a very loving and generous man. He loved the Lord and his family, and shared his love of life with everyone he came in contact with.

Jim is survived by his wife of 15 years, Debra; son, Timothy (Kelli) Hall; daughter, Heather Hall; step-children, Chuck (Barbara) Papp, Allison (Bobby) Cox; grandchildren, Madison, Kacie, Logan, Landon, Oliver, Henry, Taylor (James), Hailey, Haden, Drew, Evan, Cass; 8 great grandchildren; mother-in-law, Betty Estridge; and wonderful friends, Dave and Dona Edwards, and Dick Arter.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 8, 2023 from 11 am to 12 pm at Newcomer Centerville Chapel (820 Miamisburg-Centerville Rd., Dayton, Ohio 45459). Funeral service will begin at 12 pm. Burial will follow in Miami Valley Memory Gardens with military honors. Please consider a memorial contribution to Vitas Hospice in Jim's memory.
