James Ford Gray, age 81 of Dayton, OH passed away Saturday, December 23, 2017. He was born April 12, 1936 in Elkton, Kentucky to Garnett and Mamie Irene (Sullivan) Gray. He married Joyce Juanita Farley on November 15, 1954 in Rossville, GA.
James retired from Twin Valley Psychiatric Systems, Dayton Campus in 2000 after 34 years. He enjoyed a variety of cars and going to car shows and loved going to Red Lobster. James enjoyed watching old Westerns, especially Roy Rogers movies, and had a love of horses growing up. James and Joyce also enjoyed fishing over the years with his sister and her husband. He had a love for his grandchildren and great grandchildren, loved his family dearly and will be greatly missed by all.
James is survived by his wife of 63 years Juanita; a son, James Gray; a daughter, Kathy (Harold) Gray; four grandchildren, Heather Nogle, Rachel (Zach) Zink, Megan (Eric) Lauvray and Andrew (Heather) Gray; eight great grandchildren, Parker, Katie, Brynlee, Zoey, Olivia, Kallen, Ava and Adeline; a sister, Christine Underwood; a brother, George Gray; and other numerous family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Betty Hagedorn.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, December 29th at Faith Baptist Church, 4215 Indian Ripple Rd, Beavercreek, OH 45440. A visitation will be held the evening before on Thursday, December 28th from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the church. Burial will follow at Beaver Cemetery.
