James Alexander "Jim" Freeman Jr., age 90 of West Carrollton, passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Hillspring of Springboro due to complication of COVID 19. He was born on September 18, 1930 in Dayton, Ohio to the late James Sr. and Orpha Freeman.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Warren and Orville Freeman; and two sisters, Helen West and Elizabeth Liffick.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 70 years, Joanne Freeman; three daughters, Nancy (Mike) Bova, Cindy (Ed) Reed and Teresa Freeman; son, Jim (Chris) Freeman; five grandchildren, Heather (Jeremy) Campbell, Karen (Eric) Blankenship, Angie (Chad) Price, Doug (Samantha) Freeman, and Zac Freeman; six great-grandchildren, Morgan Price, Emma Campbell, William Blankenship, Ava Campbell, Ashton Blankenship, and AJ Blankenship; three brothers, Emerson Freeman, Danny (Betty) Freeman, and Harold (Genie) Freeman ; sister Margaret Collier; three brother-in-laws, David Free, Roger (Pam) Free, and Larry (Wanda) Free; sister-in-law, Linda (Don) Puckett. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Jim was an Army Veteran who served in the Korean War. He retired after 36 ½ dedicated years from Delco Moraine. He was devoted to his faith and an active member of the Miamisburg Christian Church. Jim attended weekly meetings at the Miamisburg Senior Citizens and Moraine Senior Citizens Centers. He enjoyed camping, watching cowboy movies, solving word search puzzles, rooting for the Cincinnati Reds, and most importantly spending time with his family. Jim is well loved and will be dearly missed by all those who knew him.
