James "Frank" Newman, age 90 of Dayton, OH, passed away peacefully August 4, 2013 at Liberty Nursing Home in Beavercreek, OH. James was born in Sinking Springs, OH to the late Clarence and Ethel Newman, he was the fourth of 7 siblings. In addition to his parents James was preceded in death by son, Martin E Newman.
James is survived by his wife of 66 years, Wanda Newman; children, Betty (Roger – dec'd) Couch, Jim (Jean) Newman, Patricia (Darrell – dec'd) Pitts; several grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and many other loving relatives and friends.
James was a member at the Northridge Church of the Nazarene. He proudly served the United States in the U.S. Army during WWII. After his service with the army, James went on to work at Lenz Company for 57 years, where he retired at the age of 85.
The family would like to say a special thank you to the nurses and staff at Liberty Nursing Home in Beavercreek and Hospice of Dayton.
He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
