James Fields, Jr.

James "Rookie" Fields Jr., age 78 of Dayton, Ohio sunset December 1st, 2021. His sunrise was July 25th, 1943 in Hamilton, Ohio to the late James Fields Sr. and Viola Brunis.

Married on March 9th, 1961 and preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Marie G. Fields. Preceded in death by his sisters Janice Shazier, Brenetta Young and Deborah White. On his way to rejoin his wife, Marie, in heaven, he was surrounded by the love and care of his family.

James Fields Jr. leaves us with his five children; Tracy M Palmer, Leona S. Lee, Mary F. Fields-Kilgore, James Fields III and Angila K. Fields and family in Ohio, Michigan, Nevada, California Georgia. He was a powerful Father figure to many.

He is survived by sister Margie K Flagg of Middletown, OH and brother Herman Brunis lll of Cincinnati, OH and close nieces Sheila Gage of Cleveland OH and Janice Flagg of Middletown, OH, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Children of Tracy, grandchildren of the beloved, David Anthony Palmer, Brian Sean Palmer, Jr., Tiffany Mayree' Davis-Marsh. Child of Tracy, grandchild of the beloved, Brian Jr., hosts the great grandchildren Alayah, Amarah, Ayanah, Anylah, Leolaous Palmer. Child of Tracy, grandchild of the beloved, Tiffany, hosts Zoee Ann Davis-Marsh.

Children of Leona, grandchildren of the beloved, Bryce Aarron Fields-Lee, Jeremy Thomas Lee, and Michael Keith Lee.

Children of Mary, grandchildren of the beloved, Anthony James Marcell Fields-Kilgore and the late Nicole Fields-Kilgore. Children of Anthony, great grandchildren of the beloved are Ke'Juan Henderson, Rodney Jones, and Drevian Young.

Children of James III, grandchildren of the beloved, Lyric Fields and James Fields IV.

James is "Favored not Forgotten" by the many family and community left to mourn the end of his era. James Fields Jr. served a pronounced 26 years of service in the U.S. Air Force, during the Vietnam War, and attained the rank of Technical Sergeant.

James Fields Jr. was tenacious and committed, advancing to the rank of 4th Dan of the 8th Dan Shian Toma, a recognized master of the Moto Buryu style of karate. He taught his own dojo while stationed in Okinawa, Japan with his family in 1967. He was funny, tough, and a solid foundation and back up for much of his family.
