BAKER, James F., age 95, of West Milton, passed away Monday, September 3, 2012. He was born June 23, 1917 in Jenning County, Indiana. James served during World War II with the United States Army. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club, American Legion and the Masonic Lodge. James was a former teacher and retired from the Vandalia School System. He also served as a principal in Fort Richardson, Alaska, superintendent and principal for the New Paris School System. After his retirement he worked as a security gaurd for Grey's Security in Dayton, Ohio. James is survived by his wife, Jane D. Baker; son, Charles T. Baker; daughter, Nancy (George L. Dutt) Baker; niece, Ruth Ann Webb. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Martha Baker; two sisters, Lyndell McManaman and Betty Jo Switzer.
