James Henry Eyler Jr.

January 23, 1951 — May 24, 2024

Waynesville

James Henry Eyler Jr., "Jim," age 73 of Waynesville, passed away on Friday, May 24, 2024 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born January 23, 1951 in the son of the late James Eyler Sr. and Dorothy Eyler.

As a young man, Jim worked at his family's furniture store, Eyler's Furniture, in Springboro. He also started his own small engine repair business when he was 16 years old. Later in life, he retired from General Motors after 30+ years of employment and was a current employee of Warren County Career Center. Jim was mechanically inclined and could fix anything. He also did bush hogging and garden tilling for friends and neighbors. He truly enjoyed the outdoors, and loved riding his tractor and fishing. He also enjoyed cars and "piddle farting around" outside. Jim had a full sense of selflessness, a multitude of wit, and will be remembered for being a very kind man. He was an exceptional husband, father, and grandfather who will be greatly missed.

Jim is survived by his wife, Charlotte; son, Shawn Eyler; daughters, Kimberly (Randy) Stone and Rebecca (Brad) Vernon; numerous grandchildren; sister, Susie; as well as many relatives and friends.

Along with his parents, is preceded in death by his son, James Henry Eyler, III "Chip."
