James Ray Emmons II, age 54 of Centerville, passed away Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at Kingston of Miamisburg. He was born September 6, 1963 in Celina, Ohio the son of James and Mary Emmons.
He is preceded in death by his Parents; James and Mary Emmons; Brother, Danny Ledford.
James is survived by his wife, Lisa Emmons, Sisters; Deborah Emmons, Marlene (Jim) Ferry; Daughters, Cortnie Gross and Heather Gross; Grandchildren, Tyler and Damion Gross; Nieces, Ashlee (Tyler) Crowe and Arica (Chris) Strike; Great-Nieces, Kaiah Ferry, Kailyn Strike and Kaidence Strike; Great-Nephews, Alex Reynolds and Keegan Strike. He is also survived by many family and friends.
James served in the Riverside Police Department for 15 years, his duties also included serving as Police Chaplain, in which he was extremely proud of. He was a huge Ohio State Fan.
Funeral Service will be held at October 17, 2017 at 11:00 am at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory - South Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, Ohio 45439). "The family would appreciate donations for funeral expenses in lieu of flowers". Visitation will be prior to service from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Gardens, Tipp City.
