James Edward Millerton, Sr., age 80, of Dayton, god called him home to be with his wife and family on Tuesday, September 30, 2014.
James was born on August 10, 1934 to the late John Sr. & Mildred Millerton.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Vietta; sister, Katheryn; brother, John Jr.; sister-in-law, Betty; nieces & nephews, Johnny, Tony, Mildred "Cookie" and Phyllis; great-nephew, Jeremy; great-granddaughter, Ka'mya.
James is survived by his; children, Pam Booker, Gertude Cecilia Millerton, Mildred Dawson, Barbara Lewis, Marilyn Calhoun and James Edward Millerton, Jr.; 22 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson; nephew; Evangelist at Large James Ellis Millerton Grandfather Abraham and family, Jeffrey Millerton, Bruce Millerton and Teresa Millerton; and a host of other relatives and friends; brother-in-laws, Fred, John, Gordon, Luther, Howard, Gay and Jimmy Ward and their families.
Arrangements entrusted to Newcomer Funeral Home South Chapel.
An open house memorial service will start at 2pm on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at 1412 W. Grand Ave, Dayton, OH 45407.
