James E. Newland

NEWLAND, James Edward age 80 of Kettering, passed away Saturday, January 31, 2009 at Hospice of Dayton. He was preceded in death by his son James Newland Jr. and his brother Charles Newland. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Mary Newland, his children Diane and husband Dom Maffetone, Lee Newland, Melissa and husband John Stephenson, David and wife Shelly Newland; 11 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; brother Harold Newland and a host of other relatives and friends. James served our country in the Naval Reserve. He retired from McCall's as a Printing Press Operator after 38 years of service and was a member of Far Hills Baptist Church. Funeral services will be 6:00 pm Tuesday, February 3, 2009 at Newcomer Funeral Home 3940 Kettering Blvd. Family will receive friends from 4:00 pm until time of service. In memory of James, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
