JAMES E. KNIFE, 81, of Huber Heights went to be with the Lord on Sat., Nov.19, 2010. He was a loving Husband, Father, Brother and Uncle and was survived by his wife Shirley Rose Knife of 53 years, daughter Cindy Freshour of Dayton (husband Darrell Freshour), son Kevin Knife of San Antonio, TX, son Greg Knife of Huber Heights, two grandchildren Joradan and Janelle Freshour, sister, Shirley Ann Cochran of Pleasant Hill, and nephews Jeffrey and Steve Cochran. James Graduated from Ohio State University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He enjoyed being the engineering department manager for over 30 years at TRW-Globe Motors and AVI Inc. in Dayton, and was an active member of Society of Automotive Engineers. He loved his family and was an active leader at YMCA and Indian Guides, taught Sunday school at Aldersgate Methodist Church, and attended Christian Life Center in his later years. He enjoyed big band music, antique airplanes and hot rod cars. He faithfully served God and will be greatly missed by the many lives he touched.
