James P. Dyer, age 63 of Dayton, passed away Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born July 29, 1956 in Dayton, Ohio, the son of Jimmy Roger and Phyllis Dyer.
He is preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Rogers.
James is survived by his life partner, Leeing Haworth; mother, Phyllis Dyer; sons, Jesse (Rachel) Dyer and Jacob Dyer; step-children, Bridgette (Joshua) Ruff and Shawn Haworth; sisters, Rita (Daniel) Click and Debra Ashmore; grandchildren, Jasper and Maximus Dyer, Josephine and Bella Ruff; sister-in-law, Menchie (Mike) Hibbard; nephews, Nathan (Alejandra) Click, Aaron (Rhiannon) Click and David (Amanda) Click; nieces, Michelle and Makayla Hibbard, Heather Ashmore (Lundan Jackson); best friend, Wendell (Anne) Banks; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
James enjoyed fishing, flying remote control planes riding his Harley and playing guitar with Wendell. He was always smiling, always had a joke, and had an uncanny sense of humor.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at North Chapel (4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, Ohio 45424). Funeral service will being at 6:00 pm.
