James Donald Walker, age 85, of Centerville, passed away on Friday, June 24, 2016.
James was the son of the late Sigel & Dorothy Lowman. He retired from Machine Products Corporation after 35 years. James proudly served as a Master Chief Petty Officer in the US Naval Reserve for 28 years.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 49 years, Joyce Irene Walker.
James is survived by his children, Linda Fannin, Donna Simpson, Sherry Hamman and Michael Walker; grandchildren, Nicole, Alan, Renee, Jillian, Jessica, James R., Kimberly, Aaron and Lauren; great-grandchildren, Jared, Avery, Zoe, Allison, Erabella, Ryder, Aiden, Alijah, Ashton and Otto; loving fiancée, Charlotte Huffman; and many other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends on Friday, July 1, 2016 from 1-2pm at Newcomer Funeral Home South Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering, OH 45439). A memorial service will follow at 2pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in James's memory to the Humane Society of Greater Dayton or The American Heart Association.
