James "Jimmy" Dearing, age 69, of Medway, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2021. He was born March 1, 1952, in Dayton, Ohio, the son of the late Robert and Velma Dearing.
In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his sister, Bev McNier; brother, Sonny; and his uncle, Jim.
James will be missed by his children, Carmen Dearing, Brandy Watkins and Melissa (Robby) Kitchens; grandchildren, Drew (Taylor) Watkins, Gage Kitchens, Brock Kitchens and Dylan Watkins.
James was a jack of many trades throughout his life, including traveling with the circus, working on a shrimp boat and security for rock-and-roll bands as a teenager. By trade, James was an underwater welder, business owner and foreman prior to his retirement. James loved spending time with his family, football (Cincinnati Bengals "Who Dey!"), fishing, gardening and being in nature.
Visitation will be held from 9:30am-10:30am, on Friday, July 16, 2021, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, where services will begin at 10:30am. Burial will follow at Medway Cemetery.
