James S. Dail "Jim" died after a long battle with Alzheimer's on June 29, 2018.
He was born on January 1, 1935 to the late Walter and Olive Dail in Greenville, NC.
Jim served in the U.S. Army from 1958-1961.
He retired from WPAFB in 1987.
Jim was also active in the growth of the St. Paris, OH community in the 1970's.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Monika H. Dail; daughter, Sharene Rausch (Dail) and son, James (Stephanie) Dail; sister, Judy (Bob) Sparks; 4 grandchildren, Jarrod Rutan, Sydney Dunn (Dail), Mason Dail and Michaela Baker (Rausch); 5 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A remembrance gathering of Jim's life will be held on Saturday, July 14, 2018 from 2-4 PM at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, OH 45424.
At the family's request, please dress casual as this is a Celebration of Life.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Harlequin Haven Great Dane Rescue, 11567 St. Rt. 774, Bethel, OH 45106 (www.hhdane.org) or The Hospice of Dayton, in Jim's memory.
