James Curtis Plummer Sr.

James C. Plummer Sr., age 53, of Miamisburg, passed away Thursday, May 31, 2012 after his short battle with lung cancer at Hospice of Dayton.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, James A. Plummer, Thelma T. Spears-Plummer; step-grandmother, Laura Plummer; step-father, Chester L. Gay; aunts, Kate Russell, Louise Cates; uncles, Charles "Robert "Bob" and Curtis Plummer; cousins, Michael and Robert Russell, and Johnny Spears.
He is survived by his mother, Daisy Gay; longtime girlfriend, Linda Colley; children, Jessica (Mark Day), "Jim Bob", "Jenni Bug" (Brett Harris), and Jacob Plummer; step-sons, Michael Colley and Justin Robinson; grandchildren, Breanna , Jared, Jasmine, C.J., Bryan, Haley, Dalton, and Jaylynn; numerous aunts; uncles; cousins; and friends; including special friends, Danny Burns, Jack Isaacs, and Dale & Sherri Lambert.
He loved Nascar, football, baseball, building things, fireworks, bonfires, and swimming. He had been a longtime employee at Barco Construction.
Contributions may be made to the funeral home to help take care of the arrangements.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 5, 2012 from 10-11am at Newcomer Funeral Home South Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering, OH 45439). The service will follow at 11am. Burial will follow at Hillgrove Cemetery.
