James E. Cox

James E. Cox "Jimmy", age 42 of Dayton, passed away June 1, 2017. He was born April 4, 1975 in Dayton to his late father, Willard Cox and his mother, Cynthia Rawlins, and she survives. In addition to Willard, Jimmy was preceded in death by his step-father, James G. Rawlins, Jr.; grandmothers, Lottie Koth and Eulah (Granny) Rawlins; sister-in-law, Krissy Williamson and father-in-law, Leroy McNees.

He is survived by is wife, Stephanie Cox; daughters, Amber and Melinda Cox; mother, Cynthia; siblings, Jessica (Taylor) Howard and William Cox; grandfather, Edward Koth; best friends, Paul Diehl and Kevin Kennedy; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Jimmy loved being a business owner and driving the big rigs. He was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman.

Family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 PM on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd. where a funeral service will begin at 1:30 PM. Interment will follow at Royal Oak Memorial Gardens, Brookville, OH.
