James G. Cowley, Jr., age 54 of Centerville, passed away March 7, 2022 at his home. He was born October 20, 1967 in Dayton to James G. Cowley and Sharron Cowley. James was preceded in death by his father, James Cowley and grandmother, Stella Millott and grandfather, Clarence Baker.
He is survived by his wife, Robyn Shelley; daughters, Sarah Cowley and Lauren Cowley; granddaughter, Georgina Houston; mother, Sharron Cowley; step-mother, Diane Cowley; brother, Bruce Cowley; sister, Marcie Cowley; the Shelley clan, father and mother-in-law, Ed and Gerri Shelley; sisters-in-law, Kristy Wells and Tracy Shelley (Bob Wills); brother-in-law, Scott (Jen) Shelley and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other extended family and dear friends.
James spent his career in IT, which computers were one of his passions. It wasn't all work with computers, he was an avid gamer as well.
James loved his family, which included the family dogs. The dogs were just like children to him. He didn't just love his dogs, he truly loved all animals.
James was an avid sports fan who loved and diligently followed sports. Especially The Pittsburgh Steelers and Penguins, and The Ohio State Buckeyes were his favorite teams. When those teams were winning, everyone wanted to be around him to celebrate those victories.
Cooking and trying new foods was a passion. He and his wife Robyn loved attending DLM Culinary classes. He was always taking recipes and tweaking them to perfection at home.
When relaxing at home, James enjoyed watching movies. One of his favorites was Star Wars and we will always have his Lego Star Destroyer to remember that by.
Robyn and his two daughters were everything to him. He was so proud of the girls and their accomplishments.
James will be remembered by his intelligence, sense of humor, and all around good nature.
A Celebration of Life Open House will be held in remembrance of James for family, loved ones, and friends.
