James Owen Corbett, Sr.

James Owen Corbett, Sr. age 87 of Vandalia, Ohio, passed away Saturday, July 24, 2021 at Stonespring of Vandalia. He was born October 9, 1933 in Turkey, North Carolina to the late Lucien and Lily Corbett.
In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his son, Earl Gregory Corbett; grandson, Frank Patrick James Fisher; son-in-law, Frank John Fisher; and five sisters.
Jim will be missed by his loving wife of 60 years, Eula C. Corbett; children, Debra Fisher, Patricia Corbett and James (Janine) Corbett, Jr.; two grandchildren, Jason Gregory Corbett and Cameron Brooks Corbett.
Jim was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He retired from the United States Air Force after 28 years. He served in both the Korean and Vietnam Wars and received various medals and honors. He was also a competitive shooter for the Air Force. A sportsman, Jim loved to fish, hunt and watch NASCAR racing. He was an avid reader. Jim was truly one-of-a-kind and he will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Jim's memory to your local VFW or the American Diabetes Association.
A private family burial will be held in Indiana at a later date.
