James Lowell Chaney, 92, of Grassy Creek, Kentucky, peacefully passed away on March 2, 2024 at his residence with family members of Jackson, Kentucky for 26 years.
He was a Baptist Minister for 58 years, until God called him home. He proudly served his country in the Army as a Korean Veteran. He loved God, family, dogs and fishing until the sun came up.
He is survived by 1 fishing buddy, Rick; 2 sons, Dean and Jim; 2 daughters, Bonnie and Ann; 4 granddaughters, Joy, Rosemary, Trina and Ala; 2 grandsons, Mike and Brian; great grandchildren, Heidi, Autumn, Emily, Jeffery, Destiny, Saphire, Ethan, Noah and Jayce. He is proceeded in death by his parents, Clay and Flossie; sister, Coreen; brother, Owlan and his wife, Grace; son, Jim; daughter, Lind Jean; granddaughter, Trina and his wife, Jenny.
Viewing will be Wednesday, March 20, 2024 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek, Ohio 45432). After the viewing, he will be laid to rest at the Dayton National Cemetery.
