Jim graduated from Martinsville High School in 2000 and then served eight years in the United States Air Force as a geophysicist. He spent the years following his active duty in the United States Air Force traveling the world as a government contractor. His longest contract being five years in Ankara, Turkey. Traveling was one of Jim's greatest joys in life. He always brought back his stories and experiences to share with friends and family. Stories that will forever live in our hearts.
Jim spent his life unconventionally and full of adventure. His biggest character traits being gentleness, humor and generosity. He taught all of those around him that a life lived unplanned, was a life lived to the fullest. Jim's final years of life were spent in Dayton, OH. A place that Jim finally settled in and called home. One of Jim's last accomplishments in life was becoming an uncle to his niece Vera. The love and bond the two of them shared will be forever unmatched.
