James Calvin Goddard

James Calvin Goddard, age 89 of Miamisburg, went to sleep on December 9, 2015 and is waiting for the resurrection. He was born February 21, 1926 in Johnstown, PA to the late John and Vernie Goddard. He was also preceded in death by his son, Calvin Dan Goddard.

Cal is survived by his wife of 66 years, Ella Goddard; children: John Goddard, William Goddard, Martha Cooper and Fred Goddard; sisters: Myra Ellenberger and Betty Baich; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Cal was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, WWII. He taught school in California and Ohio. He was a member of the Kettering Seventh-day Adventist Church, where he served as an elder and deacon. Currently he was a member of the Miamisburg Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Visitation will be held from 10-11 am on Monday, December 14, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd., where the funeral will begin at 11 am. Burial to follow at Miami Valley Memory Gardens.
