BRUNS, James Urban, 66, of Hillsboro, Ohio, formerly of Dayton, Ohio died unexpectedly Sunday, November 14, 2004. He was born November 1, 1938 in Dayton, the son of the late Urban Henry and Joan M. (Will) Bruns. Jim was a graduate of Chaminade High School. He served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Talbot County LST. He was the proprietor of the Quality Repair in Hillsboro. He was a member of the Hillsboro Seventh Day Adventist Church and the Highland County Senior Citizen Center. He loved hiking, walking and playing pool. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Betty J. Howell. Jim is survived by his five children, Daniel and Judi Bruns of Whittier, N.C., Lucie (Bruns) and Kevin Alig of Centerville, OH., Patrick David Bruns of Raleigh, N.C., Timothy and Connie Bruns of Beavercreek, OH. and Matthew Bruns of Miamisburg, OH; four grandchildren, Amanda Bruns, Daniel Bruns Jr., Austin Alig and Traci Alig; former spouse, Nancy and special friend, Wanda Brimberry. Memorial services will be held 7:00PM Wednesday, November 17, 2004 at the Hillsboro Seventh Day Adventist Church. Family will receive friends from 5:00PM until 8:00PM Thursday, November 18, 2004 at Newcomer Farley Funeral Home 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering. Funeral services will be held at 10:00AM Friday, November 19, 2004 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
