James William Brown

James William Brown, age 67 of Dayton, passed away Saturday, December 23, 2023. He was born November 26, 1956 in New York, New York the son of the late Charles and Margaret Brown. James was an avid sports fan with the Ohio State Buckeyes and the New York Yankees being his favorites. He had a talent for carpentry and enjoyed making things. James was an excellent cook and grill master and his family have fond memories of eating the meat he smoked at family cookouts. He was the life of the party and loved having fun with his friends and family. James will be missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Spouse, Linda G. Brown; Sister, Paula Teresa Goins; and Step-Son, James Moon.

James is survived by his Nephews, John Goins and his wife Tabitha, David William Goins; Brother, Charlie F. Brown, Jr.; Granddaughters, Jasmine Marie Moon, Felicia Shepherd, Haley Shepherd; Great-Nephews, Roland Tyler Goins, Alexander Caleb Goins; Niece, Sarah Elizabeth Pearl Goins; Step-Daughters, Melissa Truax, Shawn Moon, De De Shepherd; Step-Sons, Michael Moon, Danny Taylor; Grandson, Gage Shepherd and by numerous other nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and friends.
