James C. Brooks

James "Buster" C. Brooks III, age 66 of Trotwood, Ohio passed away peacefully with his family by his side on October 5, 2024. He was born June 5, 1958 in Dayton, Ohio son of the late James Brooks Sr. and Georgia Mae Nowlin. 

Buster was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Buster loved playing jazz music; riding his motorcycle, watching nature shows, fishing, and spending time with his family. He was a private Pilot for over 20 years. Buster will be greatly missed by all who had the honor of knowing him. 

Buster is survived by his children, Nina (Bill) Ivory, Tranell (Jennifer) Brooks, and Jasmine (Kenneth Holsinger) Brooks; grandchildren, James, Isaiah, Jordan, Aaron, Kaedyn, Gabriel, Shaelynn, Kaleb, and Mahayla; great granddaughters, Sophia and Penelope; sisters, Denise, Karen (Jerry), Cheryl, and Shonda; several nieces and nephews; as well as numerous other family members and friends. 

A celebration of life will be held at a later date to be determined.
