James R. Brewster, 89, of Riverside, passed away July 9, 2017. James was born in Clay County, Kentucky on July 4, 1928 to the late Skill and Polly Brewster. James retired from General Motors after 42 years of service. He was a member of the Free Masons for many years. In his free time he enjoyed fishing, sitting on the front porch with his Angel and spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his brother, Van Brewster.
He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Gladys Brewster; daughter, Lisa Mullins; granddaughter, Kortni Mullins; and several other relatives and special friends.
A visitation will be held on Friday, July 14, 2017 from 12:30 pm- 1:30 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek, where funeral services will begin at 1:30 pm. Entombment will follow at Valley View Memorial Gardens.
