James Gilbert Berry, went to be with His Lord and Savior on July 10th 2013. Born May 27th 1920, he served in the Army during World War II in Italy. He was born in Virginia but made Dayton, OH his home for almost 60 years.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Della Giles; son, Patrick Berry; and grandson, Spencer Berry. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Yvonne Berry of Kettering; and his daughter, Sonya (Ruppel), her husband, Steve; and granddaughters, Stephanie, Sydney and Serena Ruppel all of Atlanta as well as niece Udell Eagle of Tennessee and nephew Forrest Giles of Virginia.
There will be a short memorial service on Saturday July 13, 2013 at 11am at the Calvary Cemetery Chapel, Kettering, OH.
Arrangements are by the Newcomer Funeral Home (South Chapel), Kettering, OH.
