James B. Turner III, age 49 of Dayton, passed away on Saturday, February 21, 2015.
He was proceeded in death by his Father, James B. Turner Jr.; his step-father, Garlen Turner; his brother-in-law, Allen Pickle; and his step-brother Randy Turner.
James is survived by his sons, James Anthony & Jacob Andrew; his mother, Dorothy Turner; his sisters, Kimberly Pickle, Michelle Roy & Steve, and Irene Burns & Leif; his step-father, Vern Morgan; his step-sister and brothers, Shelly Arrowood & Bill, and Doug and Chad Morgan; his nieces and nephew, Hollie/Jimbo, Nathan/Sarah, Crystal/David, Kelly/Jordan, Heidie/Tom, Nikki/James, and Alicia; a host of aunts and an uncle; his great-nieces and nephews, Alyssa, Jimmy, Hailey, Aidan, Lilliana, Austin, and Lilly Sue; his special cousin Alicia who stayed by his side; the mother of his children, Lisa; and a host of friends.
James loved serving his community as a Deputy Sheriff at the Montgomery County Sheriffs Office and a patrol officer at the Brookville Police Department. He was a member of the Falcon's Club. He took great pride in his boys and in their business, Turner Landscaping and Snow Removal. He loved all of his family and friends dearly.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 26, 2015 from 5-8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home South Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, OH 45439). The services will commence on Friday, February 27, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. with Russell Hayes officiating. Burial will take place at Woodland Cemetery.
