James A. Colchin

COLCHIN, James A., age 77, of Riverside, passed away Sunday, March 15, 2009. He was born June 28, 1931 in Dayton, OH, the son of Otto and Dolores (Heideman) Colchin. He served with the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and was a lifelong member of the Shamrock Athletic Club, Milton Athletic Club, and V.F.W. Post 657. He is survived by his wife, Carol J. Colchin; one daughter and son-in-law, Katrina and Chip Lee; one son and daughter-in-law, Christopher and Donna Colchin; two grandchildren, Nicholas and Robert Colchin; one sister, Helen Wieland; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by both parents; two brothers, Robert and Jerome Colchin. Visitation will be held Thursday, March 19, 2009 from 5-8 at Newcomer Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel where funeral services will be held Friday, March 20, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton or to the Alzheimer's Association.
