Jameil Lamont Beavers 'Jake', age 45 of Dayton, passed away on Wednesday, February 23rd 2022. He was born on September 11th, 1976, the son of Delores Nelson Beavers and Eric Lamont Marzette.

Jameil is preceded in death by Father Eric Lamont Marzette, maternal grandparents New Jersey & Jeithro Nelson, Paternal grandparents Rhuben F. Marzette and Eula M. Marzette. Uncle Clark Nelson and Carl Marzette.

Jameil is survived by mother Delores Nelson Beavers; soul mate Yovanda Enoch; four children: Jakob Lamont Nelson-Mays, Jaelynn Christine Nelson-Mays, Allyssa Taylor Nelson-Mays and Celyce Evani-Marie Beavers; step sons: Trevon Enoch, Jamar Enoch. Grandchild, Zayah Enoch; four brothers: Brandon Paul Stargell; Malik Deshaunn Mayo, Eric Lamont Henderson and Darryl Javon Harper. Jameil is also survived by numerous Loving Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends.

A graduate of Patterson Co-Op and the Dayton Barber College, Jameil used his natural abilities for over 30 years as a self-employed barber. He took great pride in his work and the innovative designs he styled for many of his customers (friends & family). Jameil's creative and artistic nature extended to sketchings, drawings and even designing a few tattoos. He also enjoyed fishing, grilling, bowling and music. Jameil was a pit bull lover and an aspiring plant enthusiast.

For those who knew Jameil, he embodied joy and laughter in life, and shall never be forgotten for his contagious smile. He was a charismatic, kind-hearted soul who loved everyone around him. The most important thing to Jameil was his family; he was incredibly proud of his children and their accomplishments. Jameil was a loving caring free spirit full of life, with an infectious smile and a great sense of humor. Jameil is well loved and will be deeply missed but never forgotten by all those who knew and loved him.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Humane Society of Greater Dayton.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 – 1:00pm on Sunday, March 6th at Newcomer Funeral Home-South Chapel located at 3940 Kettering Blvd. Kettering, Ohio 45439.

The family hopes those who would like to honor him will find a quiet time to remember who he was in your life and be thankful for the time you had together. In lieu of a public funeral service, individual families are encouraged to have their own private memorial.
