Jake Haney, age 17 of New Carlisle, passed away October 15, 2012. He was born August 15, 1995 in Kettering, Ohio.

Jake is survived by his mom, Loretta Haney; dad, Bill Haney; brother and best friend, Justin Haney; grandparents: Dottie and Walt Rowe & Rita and Tom Haney; great grandmother, Gram; aunt, Nenia Arnett; uncle, Jay (Debbie) King; cousins: Mitchell (Selena) Henderson, Jason (Charity) Frazier, Angie (Mike) Notestine, James Davidson, Zach King, Jay King, Randy Corriea; and many more family members and friends too numerous to mention. Everyone loved and cared for Jake so much. He always looked up to Mitchell and Jason.

Jake was a Junior at Tecumseh High School. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish and hunt. He especially loved bow hunting. He also loved to spend time with his brother playing basketball. Jake had a heart of gold. He would always lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He will be remembered for his wonderful smile.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Newcomer Funeral Home to help the family with final expenses.
