GEARY, Jackie, age 64, of Centerville, passed away Friday, March 18, 2011.
She was born January 18, 1947 in Kokomo, IN to Jack & Frances Link. She is
survived by her loving husband, Mike Geary; children Elizabeth (Zach) Brodeur;
and Ben Geary; father, Jack (Marti) Link; mother, Frances (Monte) Umbaugh;
sister, Tish (Gregg) Lucas; and numerous relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held at Southminster Presbyterian Church, 7001 Far Hills Ave. Centerville, OH on April 6 starting at 11:00 A.M. Jackie earned her Bachelors Degree in Education at Indiana University, her Masters
Degree at the University of Dayton and was Reading Recovery trained at Wright State University. She taught for over 37 years, her career beginning at Beverly Gardens in Mad River Township and most recently with Kettering City Schools, 20 years at Moraine Meadows and this past year at Southdale Elementary. Jackie was an extraordinary teacher. She began her career as a Title 1 Reading teacher, then a second grade teacher in the classroom.
