JAMES, Jacqueline S. (Hecathorn), 64, of Beavercreek passed away Thursday October 22, 2009 at her residence after a courageous battle with breast cancer. She is preceded in death by her parents James Jones and June Cayton and brother Kenneth Lewis. Jackie is survived by her husband of 21 ½ years, Jim Hecathorn; children Patricia (Bob) McKelvey, Michael (Sharry) Luneke ,and Joseph (Margaret) Luneke; grandchildren Andrew, Robbie, and Molly McKelvey, Michael, Tyler, and Nicole Luneke, Joey and Vanessa Luneke; great grandchildren Cali and Georgia Luneke; sister Kim Kennedy; niece Carrie (Eric) Newman; numerous other family and friends, including special friends Cheri Henry, Elizabeth Stack-Hall, and Brenda Blackshear. She was retired from Department of Veterans Affairs after 24 years of service. Jackie graduated from Wright State University with a Bachelors and Masters Degree in Nursing. She was a member of Sigma Theta Tau Honorary Nursing Society. Jackie was a loving mother and wife and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and traveling. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Funeral services will be held 7:00PM Tuesday Ocotber 27, 2009 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton Xenia Rd. Family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00PM prior to services at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Susan G. Komen, Research for Breast Cancer, P.O. Box 96216, Washington D.C 20090.
