Jacob Schafer, 69, of Springboro, passed away on July 1, 2022 at Hillspring of Springboro. He was born on March 5, 1953 to Jakob and Katharina (nee: Mueller) Schafer in Dayton, OH.
Jacob worked as a Police Officer for Dayton Police Department. He was a member of the Masonic Temple of Dayton and the past president of the Blue Knights for Chapter XXIX and Chapter III.
Jacob is survived by his daughters, Michelle (Jason) Nocero, Jillian (Daniel) Burrey and Stephanie (JD) McCoy; his son, Matthew Schafer and his grandchildren, Bradley Nocero, Alyssa Nocero, Sophia Schafer, Olivia McCoy, Beau McCoy, Morgan McCoy, Riley McCoy, Tyler Burrey and Bradley Burrey.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Katharina Schafer and Jakob Schafer.
Visitation will be held Sunday, July 10, 2022, 5:00 pm to 7:00pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions in Kettering, Ohio.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 11, 2022, 12:30 pm at the Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions in Kettering, Ohio.
Interment will take place on in the Woodland Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, Memorials are suggested to the First Responders Children's Foundation.
