Jackland McNair was born on July 13, 1954 to the late John and Anna Valentine.
She confessed to Christ at an early age at St. Matthew's Missionary Baptist Church. A graduate of Dunbar High School, Class of 1972, Jackland went on to receive her Bachelor's degree in Sociology at the University of Dayton, Class of 1975.
Jackland, better known as 'Jackie", was a devoted wife and mother. Jackie touched a lot of lives working for VOCA and Montgomery County Board of Developmental Disabilities as an SSA for many years. Jackie was a very strong and supportive person.
Jackland McNair was preceded in death by her parents, John and Anna Valentine; sister, Brenda Valentine; mother-in-law, Gloria McNair; and brother-in-law, Jake Petite, Jr.
She leaves to cherish her memory, husband, Gregory McNair; devoted daughter and primary caregiver, Tracy McNair; son, Gregory McNair II; sisters, Joyce Petite and Linda Huggins (Luke); father-in-law, Walter McNair, Jr.; brother-in-law, Walter McNair (Vette); sisters-in-law, Lawyanna Marshall (Bernard) and Cornelia Mallory (Gino); nephews, Luke Huggins, Jr. (Sharonda), Jake Petite III, and Lorenzo Huggins (Lynda); nieces, Quianna Petite, Latashia Robinson (Will III), Tonya McNair, Tasheena Walker (Greg), and Terrica McNair. Jackie is also survived by a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins; special cousins, Tracey Peterson and Keith Peterson (Brenda); very special friends, the Marshall/Lynch family and Henderson family. Jackie had many friends and special friends. She will be missed dearly.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 24, 2019 at Newcomer - North Chapel at 3pm. Family will greet friends and loved ones for one hour prior (2pm - 3pm).
