Rathert, Jackie age 30 passed away at his home on April 10, 2013. Jackie is preceded in death by his brother David Gale Melvin.
He is survived by his fiance' Tomarrow Cameron; mother Marjorie DuHamel; siblings Ronald Meek, Joseph (& Benny) Melvin, Jessica Melvin; his children; Phoenix, Raven, Ah'mia, and one on the way; nieces and nephews Ronnie Conner, Constance Rathert, Fred Duncan IV, Essence Cleoria May Louise Duncan, Samantha Melvin.
Jackie loved to fish and was a fantastic cook. He was a great dad who played dress-up and barbies with his daughters. Jackie was extremely close to his nieces and nephews who will miss their wrestling time with him. All of his children shared the title of "Daddy's Girls". He was a dreamer who wanted nothing but the best for his family. He was very handy and extremely helpful around his house, having just painted the bathroom for his mother. He liked to work. Family for Jackie was everything.
Family will receive friends from 4-6:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd, Beavercreek, with a funeral service to follow at 6:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
