Armas John "Jack" Waisanen, age 89 of Dayton, passed away peacefully on April 25, 2013. He was born March 30, 1924 in Bruce Crossing, MI to the late John and Mary Waisanen. In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by sons: Daniel Waisanen and Andrew Waisanen.
Jack is survived by his wife, Mary Edna Waisanen; children: Linda (Gary) Newcomer, Brenda Waisanen, Joseph (Kim) Waisanen, Lisa (Kenneth) Rondeau and Debra (Gary) Camden; grandchildren: Jennifer, Jacob, Brandi, John, Kevin, Cody, Calvin, Emma, Zachary, Tyler and Sadie; one great granddaughter, Sophia; and sister, Mary Ann Waisanen Cestkowski.
Jack was a veteran of the United States Army, WWII. He retired from Vulcan Tool & Die, was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church and was an avid golfer, bowler, sportsman and woodworker.
