Jack Charles Turner, age 86, of Huber Heights, passed away on January 15, 2021. He was born in Knoxville, Tennessee, on September 6, 1934, the son of the late Charles and Thelma Turner.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife of 61 years, Rose Turner; and his siblings, Bobbie Kidd, Lois Swaggerty, Don Turner, Jim Turner and Ray Turner.
Jack is survived by his children, Dan Turner, Cindy (Jim) Bartee, Connie (Mike) McQuirt and Mark (Jenni) Turner; grandchildren, Don Warfe, Eric Warfe, Christina Warfe, Anna Perry, Rose Hawkins, Luke Turner and Jake Turner; multiple great grandchildren; siblings, Paul Turner, Linda Neff, John (Linda) Turner and Mary Lane; and many other loving family and friends.
Jack was the Owner/Operator of Gilman Canvas Products for over 63 years. Gilman Canvas Products was the epitomy of a "Family Business", several generations proudly work at the company. In his free time, he loved to fish, especially at his cabin in Canada with friends. Jack was also a self-taught photographer and loved woodworking. He will always be remembered for his sense of humor and his generous spirit. He was always there to help anyone in need.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
Graveside Services will be held on Thursday, January 21, 2021, at 2pm, at Willow View Cemetery, 2500 Neff Rd., Dayton.
