Jack Rowland Jr.

Jack Rowland Jr., age 76 of Riverside, Ohio with his family by his side, went to be with the Lord on November 6, 2024. He was born August 29, 1948 in Dayton, Ohio son of the late Jack Rowland Sr. and Mary Ballinger Cornett. 

Jack was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was a United States Vietnam Air Force Veteran who proudly served his country. He loved being outdoors, fishing, hunting, and being in nature. He enjoyed gardening, working with cars, and spending time with his wife and children. Anyone who knew Jack would hear him say he was "Blessed and Highly favored and so are you." Jack will be greatly missed by all who had the honor of knowing him. 

In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his son, Shane Rowland, his granddaughter, Olivia Ruiz, and brother, Steve Rowland. 

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Melodie Rowland; children, Kevin J Rowland, Cami Rowland, Michele Baker, Matthew Baker, and Samson Baker; grandchildren, Michael, Cassondra, Devin, Jessie, Ivan, Christopher, Melody, Samuel, Hannah, Isaiah, Matthew, and Madelynn; great grandchildren, Mari'Onna, Mi'Kylynn, Paisley, and Xavier; sister, Melanie Poynter; brothers, Joseph Rowland and Ronald Rowland; as well as numerous other family members and friends.

A graveside service with Military Honors will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at 9am at Dayton National Cemetery, 4400 West Third Street, Dayton, Ohio 45428. A Celebration of Life will follow from 10:30am-12pm at Way of the Cross Church, 612 Beatrice Drive, Dayton, Ohio 45404.
