Jack K. Sr. "Pink" Reid , age 87, of Kettering, OH passed from this life into the next at Oak Creek Terrace on Thursday, November 29, 2012.
Jack was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Jack spent many years as a salesman for Printing Service Company and enjoyed listening to Frank Sinatra, gardening and woodworking.
He was born in Dayton to Peter John and Flora Mae Reid. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maralyn, and brothers, Howard, James, Clifford, and Robert. He is survived by faithful sister-in-law, and friend Marjorie Gustin. Also survived by daughter, Jari (Jeff) Gravitt and sons Jack K. Jr. (Sandy) and Ron, daughter-in-law, Mary, grandchildren, Andrea (Samuel) Sinclair, Justin (Kristen) Gravitt, Stacy (Chad) Campbell, Becky Risner, Zach Reid, Michelle Reid, and Leo Reid, along with 7 great-grandchildren.
His kindness, wit, and sense of humor will be missed by many.
The family will receive friends at the Newcomer Funeral Home (South Chapel), 3940 Kettering Blvd. Kettering, OH on Tuesday December 4, 2012 from 10am to 11am with funeral service beginning at 11am.
Interment is at Lebanon Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 3797 Summit Glen Dr. G100, Dayton, OH 45449.
