Moore, Jack R., age 80, of West Carrollton, passed away Thursday, June 26, 2008 at Hospice of Dayton with his wife Regina and his nieces Tina Pizzino and Carmela Swiger at his bedside. Jack retired from Standard Register with over 40 years of service, and was a United States Army Veteran proudly serving during the Korean War with the 17th Infantry Regiment.
Jack is survived by his wife of 55 years: Regina (Doepel) Moore; sisters: Francis Doepel, Betty Freeman, Billie Riddel; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, family members and friends. He was preceded in death by is parents: Sherman & Mary (Harris) Moore; and his brother: Jim Moore.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, July 1, 2008 at Newcomer Funeral Home (South Chapel) 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering with Pastor Joe Tobias officiating. Interment will follow the service at Evergreen Cemetery in West Carrollton. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to either Hospice of Dayton or the Alzheimers Association. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff of both Hospice of Dayton and Liberty Retirement Community for their care of Jack over the last few years.
