Penley, Jack, age 76 of Dayton, passed away on Saturday, February 23, 2008 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born January 6, 1932 in Keokee, VA, the son of Howard & Cora Elizabeth (Blanken) Penley. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict and was the owner of Jack's Bar. He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Patty Penley Fellows; brothers, J.C., Howard, Carl, & Curt Penley; sister, Monese Cloud; and special loved one, Julie Nohacs. Survivors include his daughter, Tamara (James) Howard of Dayton; sons, Shawn and Kristofer (Holly) Penley of Tennessee; grandchildren, Misty, Ashton, Donnavan, Dylan, Amara, Brayden, & Kayson; sister, Ann (Jimmy) Warren of Michigan; brother, Dan (Barbara) Penley of North Carolina; and numerous nieces & nephews, and many special friends. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, OH with Pastor Kim Sammons officiating. Interment will follow at Dayton National Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 1 PM until the time of services.
