Jack Mooney, age 76, passed away on June 9th at Hospice of Dayton surrounded by his family after a courageous four year battle against cancer.
Jack was a loving husband and father and will be greatly missed by his wife of 53 years, Janet (Cox); his 3 daughters Leigh Topp (Pat), Jessica Mooney and Kara Pickrell (Sean); and his 4 grandchildren Riley, Kalen, Owen and Chandler.
Jack graduated from West Carrollton High School in 1965. After high school he did a tour of duty in Vietnam then went to work for General Motors for 31 years.
Second only to his family was Jack's love for the Cincinnati Bengals and the Cincinnati Reds. He remained a loyal and hopeful fan and was blessed enough to see the Bengals go to the Super Bowl last February.
Preceded Jack in death were his parents Elmer and Lillian Mooney and in-laws Pat and Hazel Cox.
Jack was a member of Zion Memorial Church for over 50 years. A public visitation will be held at Zion Memorial Church (4000 South Dixie Dr. Moraine, OH 45439) on Monday June 20th at 10:30 am with funeral service to follow at 12:00 pm. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Jack's honor can be made to Hospice of Dayton (https://www.hospiceofdayton.org/donations/) or Zion Memorial Church.
