In Memory of our Father and Grandfather, Jack E. Milstead. Dad departed this life on December 25, 2014 at the age of 84. During his early years, our Father was the principal buyer of men's business apparel on the Mezzanine Floor of Rike's Department Store in downtown Dayton. His impeccable sense of men's fashion, combined with his good looks and confident demeanor resulted in various modeling appearances on the Phil Donahue Show, and full page advertisements depicting the "Busy Man on the Go" in nationally syndicated magazine commercials. He remained in retail sales until his retirement in the mid-1990s. After retirement, our Father returned to his greatest passion in life – Art work. In particular, he spent endless hours in solitude studying the Masters and developing his own technique that yielded countless drawings and scores of beautiful water color paintings that he would frame and gift to family and loved ones on special occasions. He is survived by four sons, Mark, Greg (Nancy), Dan, and John (Sharon); and two Grandchildren, Kevin and Melanie. He was a wonderful Father and Grandfather whose passion for life, quick-wit and wonderful sense of humor will be greatly missed by all.
